Recently promoted Multisite Clinic Director (MSCD) Vidit Atul Phanse has learned that navigating the transition from running a single clinic to multiple locations has presented its challenges, but it is ultimately a rewarding experience.

When asked what helped ease the transition to overseeing multiple clinics, Vidit was complimentary of his leader, District Director Missy Brass: “I have a great mentor who supports me and makes herself available–no matter what time it is.”

However, it takes more than support from leadership to be successful in the MSCD role, and Vidit fully embraces whatever obstacles come his way. “There are many different dynamics to people management, including team members and patients, but having a growth mindset helps,” Vidit said.  “Doing so has allowed me to develop patience and focus. I want to address patterns and root causes, not just surface-level issues.” 

When asked about advice he would give an incoming clinic leader, he said, “Keep it simple. Embrace your role and responsibilities as a leader, and the influence and efficiency will follow.”
